Cute little coffee shop with great service and a good view. I had one of the best coffees of my life a delicious muffin that just about melted in my mouth.

I am hooked on their French Vanilla Chai Tea. SO GOOD! They have the very BEST homemade rice krispy treats also!!! I will only buy theirs! LOVE them!

A wonderful cafe and coffee house, where the staff is welcoming, the guests are friendly, and the food & drink is amazing! Such great ambiance, and live acoustic music to help you enjoy your visit too! Next door is an open door to a very charming gift shop! A must visit in Sanford!

Love the quick bites you can get

If we are in town, we go every Saturday morning for sausage gravy biscuit with fried egg on top and oatmeal or everything muffin. My husband ordered sausage gravy biscuit at Boca Bay at Wrightsville Beach good but no comparison to Kathy’s. I no longer order oatmeal anywhere other than Kathy’s. I know you are probably saying oatmeal is oatmeal but try it, you will like it. Staff is Great, Attentive, and Extremely Pleasant.

Nice qaint coffee shop

Was really excited to see Sanford has a real coffee shop. I certainly was in the mood for a cup of Joe and a sandwich.Upon entering, the atmosphere was clearly quite busy since it was lunch, but I was promptly greeted. I noted that there were several people around me that were obviously waiting on their order. After about 10 minutes, I was asked for my drink order. I requested to forego the drink and just place my order, again mentally notating the people around me still waiting.The food that I saw looked delicious and smelled great. However, after 15mins, my order still had not been started. At this point, I had to cancel my order and leave for work.My suggestion to the Java Express's staff would be to set wait time expectations so customers could make the choice to stay or not.My suggestion to customers would be plan on a hour of your time if you go during lunch.I'll try them again soon (I still wait my coffee and sandwich), but I'll be on a day I have plenty of time.... ;-)

This place is amazing I try to go there every time I'm dating downtown Sanford the service is excellent the breakfast sandwiches are excellent the coffee is outstanding highly recommend if you are in the area definitely stop in you won't be disappointed

Great food and Aswome Service

A fun place with great staff, who are nice and knowledgeable about the multitude of coffee and beverage choices available. There is a robust menu full of great choices and includes a good selection of high quality, home made desserts. The restaurant is very clean and has nice views of Depot Park across the street. It is connected to the Sanford Antique Mall, which is also a must see when you visit historic downtown Sanford and adds to the experience of visiting Java Express.

Great coffee. Great breakfast place. Love their croissant breakfast sandwich. Friendly staff.

Just stopped in for a quick breakfast. Everything was fine. Nice spot for basic menu items. Lunch sandwitch menu looks good so a second stop may be in order.

Today was a cool day and I wanted to get a hot chocolate, saw Kathy's Java Express online and saw they closed at 5pm so I thought I'd run over and try it since I live nearby. I arrived at about 7-8 minutes before 5pm and I just wanted the hot chocolate wasn't going to stay; the lights were on and the door unlocked. I walked in and I was told that they were closed and turned away. I would call that poor customer service, anyway I won't be going back. So, I can't say whether the hot chocolate was good or not I wasn't served any. Just terrible

Awesome place to have a meal! The ladies are super nice and helpful... The soup is always good and filling... The sandwich selection is wonderful and they will make it to the way you prefer it.... Don't forget the cookies 😁

The French onion soup is the best

My husband and I found this cafe while visiting my daughter in North Carolina. The videlia chicken salad sandwich and broccoli nut salad were great as well as the gingerbread latte.

Every was great. Service and food. The big bird soup is a must try.
